Children do not want to work with pencil and paper always, so activities were conducted to make the kids learn to read sight words. They made fortune teller where sight words are written on different sections and then when it was flipped up it revealed a sight word.
Hands on activities are one of the best ways for children to learn so one they performed sand play to write the sight words in sand.
Following road safety rules today is very important. It is of paramount importance that children learn formalsafety educationin an educational environment. Road safety education plays an important role in shaping the attitudeand behavior of children, ensuring they become in their future responsible drivers, pedestrians, cyclists and passengers.
Tiny tots of class Prep were sensitized about traffic rules and they made traffic lights by tear and paste activity. The objective of the activity was to give them knowledge about traffic lights, safety rules and all road signals.
School shaped Photoframe Activity

Teaching does not need to be limited to textbooks and blackboards, it is to be fun with activities. The moments spent in school with friends and teachers are the mostspecial and happiest moments.Now a days, as schools are closed and tiny tots are attending virtual classes with their homes, so to take them to the school environment an interestingcreative activity has been conducted for the students of Class I, DPS Gajraula.
In the activity they relished their memories and made a very special school shaped photo frame, with the help of colourful ice-cream sticks, A4 size sheet &decorative material also by inserting their photo in the frame. The kids were very excited to keep the photo frame on their study tables or hang it in their rooms.

Delhi Public School, Gajraula believes in fun-filled learning of our traditions as it is a crucial and an essential part of the curriculum. The tiny-tots of Pre-primary wing virtually celebrated Janmashtami, the birthday of Lord Krishna with great devotion and enthusiasm on 10th August, 2020. The students initiated diverse activities that showcased the fact that whenever there will be dominance of malevolence ‘He’ will reincarnate to destroy the evil and save the good.
They delighted themselves in various craft activities showing accord and harmony in the celebration by making Head band, Flute and decorate Matki with different stones, decorative materials and MorPankh.They were also dressed in ethnic attire as Little Krishna and Radhaand click the picture with their activities, which gave a traditional touch to the entire celebration.
Rakhi Making Activity
Raksha Bandhan is one of the most endearing ways to celebrate the bond between brothers and sisters. To strengthen this bond, Delhi Public School Gajraula conducted a ‘Rakhi –making’ activity. Students from all classes participated in the activity and made colourful rakhi’s. They used decorative threads, stars, mirrors, pearls and flowers for making beautiful rakhi’s. Boys decorated bags and hair pins for their sisters.
The event was celebrated with full enthusiasm and zeal. Depsites believes that such celebrations of festivals with true spirit teach students about our Indian traditions. The Principal of the school Mr. Srinivas Rao appreciated the work of the students.
